Votifier and NuVotifier Tester

Send a test vote to your server and see whether it arrives. Works with Votifier v1 (public key) and NuVotifier v2 (token).

In plugins/Votifier/config.yml under tokens: default.

The test vote is for the player "TestVote".

How to test Votifier

  1. Enter the address of your server and the Votifier port from plugins/Votifier/config.yml (default 8192).
  2. For NuVotifier v2 paste the token (tokens.default), for Votifier v1 the content of rsa/public.key.
  3. Send the test vote. Each step is shown, and if one fails you get the reason and what to change.

Frequently asked questions

Which player gets the test vote?

Always the player "TestVote". The name is fixed so nobody can hand out rewards to a chosen player. Most vote plugins log the vote or give the reward to an offline player of that name.

Votifier v1 or NuVotifier v2: which one do I have?

NuVotifier understands both. If your config.yml has a tokens section, use v2 with the token. Old Votifier only has an RSA key in rsa/public.key.

The tester says "connection refused". What now?

Nothing listens on that port. Check that the plugin is loaded, that the port in config.yml matches, and that the port is opened in your host panel or firewall. Many hosts give you a separate extra port for Votifier.

Why does v1 say "delivered" without a confirmation?

Votifier v1 never answers. The tester can only see that the server accepted the encrypted vote. Check the server log to see that it arrived.

Is my token safe?

The token goes over HTTPS to our server, is used for this one vote and is not stored or logged. If you are unsure, generate a new token afterwards.
